Macmillan Education has developed its presence in East Asia significantly over the past few years opening representative offices in core markets in the region, with its regional headquarters based in Hong Kong.  Macmillan has rapidly developed its publishing of materials designed for learners in East Asia with a dedicated editorial team based in Oxford producing a variety of materials and responding to teachers’ needs in the region.

Courses designed specifically for Asian learners include BreakthroughSynergyGear UpInside English, and See Saw.  We also have a range of skills books for Asia such as Essential Reading and College writing. In addition, we have a range of new editions of our best-selling Asian titles for which we have listened to feedback from teachers in the region to update and improve them always retaining the features of the original editions that made them so popular with teachers and students. These include New English Upgrade, Get Real! New Edition, New Finding Out, Smile New Edition and Basic Survival and Survival English New Editions. In Japan Macmillan Language House also produces materials specifically for the local market as well as supplying Macmillan’s regional and international ELT materials.
