Who is it for?

The conference is aimed at educators and English language teaching professionals of all levels to exchange ideas and be a part of a dynamic professional community.


As the largest organization focused exclusively on English language teaching for speakers of other languages, TESOL annually hosts more than 6,500 people from across the United States and around the world at the international convention. This year the conference is going to be held in Baltimore, Maryland from 5-8th April and will be celebrating its 50th year! Go Beyond is a brand new six-level, American English series for teenage students. The course is structured on detailed mapping to the CEFR and international exams, taking teenagers from A1+ to B2 and providing an innovative mix of print and digital that not only advance students’ language skills but also enhance their 21st century skills. This session will walk the audience through the format of the lessons and illustrate how the scaffolded approach is designed to ease teacher planning, while the digital components keep digital natives engaged.

University students sometimes arrive with brain power and drive, but without the organization and habits necessary for academic success. The presenter will demonstrate useful techniques for teaching and practicing academic study skills.
