Macmillan Readers Holiday Project, 2007

THIS COMPETITION HAS NOW CLOSED, but you can still download the project below!

Every year, the Macmillan Readers team give you a great project to keep your students working over the holidays. This year is no different.

For this project, you are going to ask your students to tell us about a holiday they have particularly enjoyed, or an amazing place they have visited. They may even like to tell us about a holiday they are going on soon, and put their project together while they are there, or when they get back.

Projects can be presented as a written diary like the one featured in the project worksheet below, and your students can include photographs, pictures and realia (eg tickets, leaflets and extracts from brochures). They may even prefer to present the project as a video or audio diary.

The vocabulary and grammar practiced in exercises 1-4 of the worksheets are designed to help them complete your project.

PRIZES

The winning student was Aleksandar Savic, whose entry was submitted by Svetlana Gavrilovic. They are both from Serbia.

Aleksandar won a goody bag from Oxford.
