Projects

Are you looking for something different for your students to do in class? Why not download the projects from past competitions and try them out? We have a wide range of topics that can be adapted for all levels.

Did your students enjoy doing one of these projects? Why not send a photo to readers@macmillan.com and we'll post the best ones on the web.

Fiction projects:

Shakespeare Readers
Inspired by our brand new Shakespeare Readers, this project asks your class to modernise, and even re-enact, a scene from Romeo and Juliet - the greatest love story ever told.

Casino Royale
This 007 project is based on the Pre-intermediate reader, Casino Royale. Your students have to write a dramatic scene for Bond, and create some great characters including their very own villian.

Perfect Partners

Detectives

Your students must write an interview between a detective and a suspect plus a detective's report inspired by characters from a Macmillan Reader!

Wanted!

For this project, ask your class to create 'wanted' posters and write the diary entry of a monster or ghost from a chosen Macmillan Reader.

In this imaginative project, ask your class to describe a strange place, planet or land from one of the Science Fiction titles taken from the Macmillan Readers series.
