Wizard of Oz Competition: CLOSED
To celebrate the publication of the first Pre-intermediate Reader, The Wizard of Oz, the Macmillan Readers team announced a
brand new competition.
In order to enter, students had to complete the exercises in the project worksheet below, which lead them to write a short story about Dorothy's magical journey.
The best story we received was by Ivana Cechovicova. Her teacher, Mgr. Michaela Vyskocilova, submitted her project on her behalf and they are from Class: 1.D at the Obchodni akadamie Olomouc in the Czech Republic. Well done to Ivana for writing such a great story, and thank you to Michaela for sending the entry in to us. Ivana won a DVD of the classic film of The Wizard of Oz, while Michaela has chosen £100 of Macmillan Books.
