About me:

I’ve worked at Macmillan for around 13 months now. I came straight into the company fresh from my MA in Publishing from Oxford Brookes University. I was based at the Oxford office for about 3 months and moved to London last November. Outside of work, I play with a London-based brass band twice a week, performing concerts all around London.

What I do at Macmillan:

I currently work as a Reprint Controller in the Production team. Day-to-day I'm responsible for organising reprint schedules for the company backlist, provide costing for new reprints and maintaining contact with our suppliers, in-house colleagues and partner companies we work with. As well as ensuring products are printed and delivered to Macmillan’s high quality standard and to deadline, we organise any file corrections and manage any stock which needs to be changed or adapted in any way.

The best thing about my job:

Over the past year, Macmillan has been constantly evolving and becoming more forward-thinking. It is an exciting time to be at the company, especially in Production. I’m part of a really dynamic, innovative and friendly team that’s interested in developing new ways of working.
