Primary Foundation Skills series

Written by Louis Fidge, author of Macmillan English, Reading skills series is a six level course which introduces children to a wide range of informative text types including fiction, fact and poetry.

The Writing Skills Series focuses on teaching handwriting and graded compositional skills. The lower levels concentrate on basic letter formation and the higher levels feature compositional writing including punctuation and spelling.

Both series are ideal for children who need to develop their reading and writing skills in a simple and structured way.

Picture Grammar for Children

Bright and lively, these grammar practice books present grammar in carefully selected topics to stimulate children's interest. A wide variety of exercises practice the grammar in context and further practice is given in review units throughout the book. Separate answer keys and photocopiable tests are also available.

Macmillan Children's Dictionary by Carolyn Barraclough

Macmillan Picture Dictionary by Dylis Brown

The Macmillan Picture Dictionary is the ideal first dictionary for children aged 7-12, it includes word games and puzzles to practise vocabulary. The fully illustrated Skills Book provides additional games and activities.
