English Squad is a CONALEP Bachillerato course that blends a collaborative working environment and a solid competency-based approach. It emphasizes developing oral and written strategies and learning outcomes by revising and extending language through activities that enhance the acquisition of English in different contexts.
English Squad is an upper-secondary course for CONALEP that blends a collaborative working environment and a solid competency-based approach. It emphasizes on developing communicative (oral and written) strategies and learning outcomes, revising and extending language through activities that enhance the acquisition of the language, the learning process and the development of socio-emotional skills.
Key features
- Completely aligned to the new CONALEP Bachillerato program and the 2019 Upper-secondary Educational Model.
- All lessons include kick off activities, communicative activities (oral and written), self-assessment, and collaborative and extension features to empower students 6th' disciplinary and professional competencies.
- The Student’s book also has a pronunciation reinforcement feature with additional audio tracks, an additional activities page after each lesson called Tryout, socio-emotional abilities activities in every lesson, and collaborative projects.
- Special sections in the Student’s Book such as Language Guide with extra practice, Pronunciation Guide, Audio Scripts, and Regular and Irregular Verb lists.
- The Teacher’s Guide includes embedded Student’s Book pages, detailed notes, answer keys to all activities, and rubrics for every lesson.

Student's Book
The Student’s book is divided into two units which are then divided into two parts (Part A and Part B). By the end of each part, students will have achieved the expected learning outcomes and work on specific pronunciation exercises.
The units include: a two-page overview that lists the specific contents of the unit, lessons depending on the content, one Tryout page for each lesson with additional practice, two collaborative projects (one for each part), and Language Guide pages.
It also includes Audio Script, Pronunciation Guide, Regular and Irregular Verb Lists.
