John is the Regional Professional Development Manager for Macmillan Education, Asia. He has been working in Asia for over 15 years as both a teacher and teacher trainer. John has taught in both the public and private sectors. He has also designed and delivered professional development workshops across the Asian region in many different contexts, including government INSETT projects in Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Myanmar and Sri Lanka. John holds a Master’s degree in Education and International Development from the Institute of Education in London, where the focus of his study was on education systems across Asia. He also holds a PGDip TESOL from the University of Nottingham, UK.
Del (MA TESOL; Dip.TESOL) is the regional teacher trainer and academic consultant for Macmillan Education. He has been working in ELT for over 20 years. His experience includes 11 years with the British Council in Thailand, where he has planned and delivered teacher professional development in a variety of contexts including both private and public schools. He is a passionate educator and publisher and thrives on integrating research-based methods and ideas into courses and supporting teachers to implement effective learning strategies in the classroom.
Super Huang is the Teacher Trainer and Academic Consultant for Macmillan Education, Greater China. She holds a Master’s degree in Applied Linguistics from the University of York in the UK, where the focus of her study was on English Language Teaching.

She has designed and delivered professional development for university teaching staff in study skills for all students.
Johanna Stirling (MA Professional Development) has been teaching English and training teachers for nearly 30 years. She works for NILE (Norwich Institute for Language Education) as the Academic Manager of the NILE Online teacher development courses. She also works with teachers from all over the world, both face-to-face and online. Johanna has given presentations and workshops around the world and is also and ELT author. Dan has been involved in language education since 2001 and during that time has taught students of every age and level. Chia Suan Chong
Chia is a teacher trainer, an intercultural skills trainer, and a materials writer based in York. Fiona is the Principal at Wimbledon School of English, London, one of the oldest independent language schools in the UK. With over 30 years worldwide experience in the field of English language training, including such areas as Teacher Training, Business and Soft Skills Training and Academic Management, she spent several years working in Cairo and in Rio/Sao Paulo before returning to London in 1997. She holds an MA in Psychology and an English UK/Trinity Diploma in ELT Management. Sarah is an ELT consultant and teacher trainer based in Buenos Aires, Argentina. She holds a Masters Degree in Teaching English to Young Learners from the University of York, UK. Mike has been involved in Business English training for the past 12 years. Viv is a freelance editor and author specialising in Primary ELT materials. Viv also teaches French at her local Primary School and is involved in teacher training in Oxford. She has an RSA Diploma in TEFL and teaching experience in Europe and South East Asia. After several years travelling and teaching English, she returned to the UK to work in the publishing industry. Mike was Teacher Training and Author Engagement Manager at Macmillan Education until June 2020. He joined Macmillan Education in 2016 after 15 years spent in Italy. He trained as a teacher in 2000 in his native Manchester. After working with asylum seekers and refugees for a year, he moved to Milan and has since worked as a teacher, trainer, school inspector, director of studies and school director.

Pete is a Director of Pete Sharma Associates Ltd, a consultancy and training organisation. He currently works as a pre-sessional lecturer in EAP at Warwick University, UK. Pete is a regular conference presenter at IATEFL, BESIG and TESOL. He is the co-author of Blended Learning (2007) and 400 Ideas for Interactive Whiteboards (2011) in the well-known Macmillan ‘Books for Teachers’ series. David Spencer is a practicing secondary school teacher working in a school near Madrid. His interest in languages began at an early age and he began teaching English when he spent a year in Spain whilst studying Spanish and French at Oxford University. Alex is the academic coordinator for Macmillan Education. He has been involved in ELT since 1998, teaching at various language schools and also working as a translator for MTV Brazil. A CPE and CELTA holder, he´s got a B.A in social communication and is a linguistics major at the University of Sao Paulo.
Steve has spent twenty-five years in ELT as a writer, a teacher trainer, an examiner and a teacher. He has created a number of best-selling multi-level courses with Macmillan Education, including Optimise, an exam preparation series for teenagers. Adrian is the editor of the Macmillan Books for Teachers, author of Sound Foundations: Learning and Teaching Pronunciation and an advisor in the development of Macmillan English Dictionary. After working as a teacher and trainer and as director of the International Teacher Training Institute at International House in Hastings, Adrian now works as an ELT consultant and trainer. As past president of IATEFL, Adrian started the first IATEFL interest group which was in Teacher Development.
