Every unit of Global Stage Language Book has a speaking lesson that practices speaking and functional language. There are two types of speaking lessons, Take the Stage and Talk About It. In the Take the Stage lessons, students present and practice a presentation while in the Talk About It lessons, they present and practice a conversation.

Literacy is a social and cultural practice. Literacy is knowing when and how to use a text. Literacy involves analyzing a text critically, being able to identify its purpose, intentions and strategies. And, literacy involves bringing cultural knowledge to a text to help understanding.
