Literacy texts can provide an excellent framework within which to develop not just language skills but also a range of attitudes, social and communicative skills and knowledge, including the ability to think critically, solve problems and think about the world around them. In this session we will explore positive strategies and demonstrate practical ideas to motivate students through the use of real world texts to extend students’ learning beyond the walls of the classroom.
