How can I advance early literacy skills with very young learners in the offline and online classroom - John Cruft
The past year has been a challenging one indeed. None more so than for teachers of very young learners, who not only have the challenge of teaching a language but also of developing early literacy skills. In this practical session participants will revisit what we mean by literacy, before exploring the key areas of early literacy and how we can begin to fast-track learners through their development. Participants will examine a variety of practical activities for developing phonemic awareness, early reading and writing skills, print awareness and narrative skills. The trainer will also discuss how the activities can be adapted for both online and face-to-face classes.
