Sophisticated
Pick up a ‘typical’ general English coursebook these days, and you’ll have a pretty good idea of what you’re going to get, even before you open it. Global moves beyond this to provide a sophisticated, cultured experience for its users – both in content and feel. Our learners are adults and we treat them that way.
Engaging
Critical thinking skills are promoted throughout Global, both in the choice of topics and in the way the material is exploited. Learners are asked to engage with the material at much more than just a superficial ‘language’ level.
Global Perspective has a strong emphasis on literary sources, and features a range of well-known classic and contemporary authors.

Student's Book
The topics have been chosen to appeal to an adult learner's curiosity, and to reflect material that they would naturally read for pleasure in their native language. Critical thinking skills are promoted through the choice of topics and the way the material is exploited. Adapted with due regard to cultural sensitivities for the Middle East.
Workbook Pack
The Workbooks complement and expand on the content of the Coursebook. They present the language practice activities of the eWorkbook in an easy-to-use printed format. The Workbooks also include an Audio CD for use with the listening and pronunciation activities. This version comes with the answer key.
Teacher's Book and Resource CD Pack
The comprehensive Global Perspectives Teacher's Book pack contains a wide range of materials for teachers using the course. These include background information and language notes, lesson plans, answer keys and ideas for adapting 'global' activities to local contexts. There are also specialist essays, focusing on key aspects of language teaching, written by a range of well-known and award-winning ELT guest authors and teacher trainers.
The Teacher's Book comes with a Teacher's Resource CD which contains photocopiable worksheets, with a mixture of unit-specific and more general activities. The CD also contains tests for use with Global Perspectives.
